Summer is indisputably linked to the consumption of fruits such as melon and watermelon. They are fruits with high water content and low caloric intake, perfect for the summer season. Personally, they are not two of my favorite fruits. I confess. I'm a fan of practically the whole spectrum of fruits, but melon and watermelon cost me a little. And the truth is that melon is a refreshing fruit with excellent properties that I should include in my diet. To show you some of them....

How does eating melon help our health?
Melon has a high water content and is a great source of potassium, which makes it an excellent source of calcium.
excellent cleanser that helps us to
eliminate all waste products from our organism. And the fact of eliminating all the bad things that are left over has collateral and very beneficial effects on our skin, blood vessels and heart. If to its high water and potassium content we add its low sodium content, the equation is perfect for cases of hypertension or fluid retention.
Are you pregnant? It's time to eat melon. Melon contains calcium, magnesium, folates and vitamins A and C, which are very favorable for the growth of the fetus. In addition, its folic acid content is quite significant. And, of course, its low caloric intake and its low percentage of sugars make it a highly recommended fruit in treatments for obesity or in cases of diabetes. Melon is also
a great source of collagenmelon, a substance that not only helps regenerate the skin and prevents aging, but also aids in the healing or recovery of skin damaged by sun exposure. Melon is also rich in calcium, very beneficial for bones and teeth, and beta-carotene, perfect for eye health.
The false myth of the melon
As you can see, melon is a fruit with numerous benefits for our organism, beyond the hydration it provides us when we drink it. However, there is a dark shadow that hangs over it. Popular wisdom says that "melon in the morning is gold, in the afternoon silver and at night it kills" and, far from distrusting the Spanish proverb of which I am a great fan, the truth is that there are voices that point out that not eating melon at night is a false and uncertain myth. Its carbohydrate content (the reason why melon consumption at night is demonized) is not as high as people think, so we can eat melon at night without worrying that nothing will happen to us. :) If even with all this I have just told you, melon is not particularly attractive to you (as it is to me), I am going to give you a much more appealing idea to introduce it into your diet:
