And you, do you practise yogranola?

by La Newyorkina
At La Newyorkina we practice yogranola and we invite you to try it because you will be hooked. And what is yogranola? A fusion between our favorite snack, granola, and one of our favorite activities, yoga. We had a bowl of granola with yogurt, fruit and honey and recharged ourselves with energy to enjoy a great yoga session. I don't know if you practice yoga or not, if you have ever thought about it or if you are one of those who think you will never try it because it seems boring. I'll confess one thing, I used to think like that. Yoga? - I said - That must be boring as hell! But, as you know, you can never say that you won't drink that water because you end up drinking it, and on top of that you like it. Well, I was going through a moment of significant work stress and the consequences were beginning to wreak havoc on my health. There were many voices recommending yoga as a palliative measure and I decided to give it a try. granola-newyorkina-yogranola I didn't have it all together. I had always thought that the best way to release stress was to do a high-impact, more aerobic, more strenuous activity. And then I learned about yoga and discovered how wrong I was. Yoga is an activity with a strong physical component. that tones every part of your body and, in addition, requires a concentration that helps you to leave out of the room any other problem you have in your head. After a short time I began to notice how my body was more flexible and toned. My posture had noticeably corrected and I had learned to breathe correctly. And these were just the tip of an iceberg full of health benefits. The weekly yoga sessions were an oasis in the midst of my busy life that, over time, taught me to extend that sense of peace to everyday life. Here is a personal recommendation (and I invite those of you who practice yoga to leave us your opinion) if you are going to start with yoga, look for a center specialized in this activity, with small groups. (5-6 people) in which the instructor is attentive to each participant, corrects and motivates you and helps you to improve in each session. Well, this is my personal experience with yoga but, beyond this, and for those of you who still doubt, I want to talk about the multiple benefits that this activity will bring to your physical and mental health.. Starting with the physical, yoga asanas (postures) help you tone your entire body. In addition to toning, flexibility and postural correction are other notable benefits. If you practice yoga regularly, you will gain in endurance but also improve your circulation. You will fight osteoporosis, keep your vertebrae loose and strengthen your heart. Not only your body will thank you for practicing yoga, but also your mind.. As I have already told you, a yoga session requires concentration for the correct performance of each posture. In the long run, this translates into a greater ability to concentrate, improved memory and attention. Its regular practice helps to isolate your mind from worries and teaches you a new way of facing problems, much more calm and beneficial for your health. Hatha Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga, which one should you practice? The first is a calmer type of yoga, while the second is more physical and more dynamic, performing the postures at a faster speed and more oriented to those who have been practicing yoga for a while. So, if you start, better choose Hatha Yoga! Now you know, if you want to lead a healthy lifestyle, combine two of the great pleasures of healthy living: granola La Newyorkina and yoga. Practice yogranola!
